The Town of Fort Mill celebrated a monumental event in 2023- the 150^th Anniversary of the Town’s incorporation!  

The Town officially marked this milestone on Sunday, February 12, 2023, but held an exciting array of events to celebrate throughout 2023. Helping celebrate the year-long milestone were several community partners, including Domtar, Fort Mill Economic Partners, Anne Springs Close Greenway and the Fort Mill History Museum. 

 The Town honored the anniversary with special activities at several Town events in 2023 including:

-The South Carolina Strawberry Festival Events

-The Independence Day Celebration/Town’s 150th Anniversary Party

-The Fort Mill Fall Festival 

We also encouraged the community to help celebrate in many ways, including:  

-The Fort Mill 150 Fit Challenge where the public Walked or Ran 150 miles throughout the year to win prizes  

-The Fort Mill Art Contest celebrating the Past, Present and Future of Fort Mill  

-The Fort Mill 150 Photo Challenge where residents shared pictures of Town Events, Landscapes, Landmarks and People  

-Local businesses joined to be part of the Fort Mill 150 Passport 

-Residents and businesses contributed to a Community Outreach donation program
