Town of Fort Mill is aware of the water main break in York County that has caused a widespread outage and prompted a boil water advisory for customers served by the York County water system, both inside and outside the Town’s corporate limits. This advisory applies only to York County water customers who experienced a complete loss of service or low water pressure. Customers who did not experience service interruptions do not need to boil their water.
York County has reported that repairs are underway and are expected to be completed today.
Customers served by the Town of Fort Mill’s water system should not experience any service disruptions, and there are no concerns regarding water quality.
