[ARCHIVED] SCDOT Schedules Ramp and Lane Closures May 2-6, 2022

road work

Please note, the S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled several ramp and lane closures for I-77 next week. Crews will be performing work which will require SCDOT to do the following:

1) Beginning May 2 through May 6, from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., they will temporarily close ramps for about 20 minutes in the following locations:

-Southbound on ramps 82, 83, and 85

-Northbound on ramps 73, 75, 77 and 79

2) Beginning May 2 through May 6, from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., two right lanes on I-77 north and southbound will be closed.

These closures are to accommodate work being performed for the new I-77 interchange between Dave Lyle Boulevard and Cherry Road.

Motorists should be aware this could impact late-night traffic patterns in the Fort Mill area, especially during next week's Strawberry Festival events (namely the Downtown Strawberry Jam on May 4 and the first night of the Strawberry Festival on May 6). Motorists should plan accordingly during this timeframe.
