The Town of Fort Mill is pleased to announce it has hired Cary Vargo as its new Town Manager effective July 15, 2024.
Vargo has extensive experience in Town operations, having served a combined 12 years as a Township Manager for the townships of Thornbury and Upper Uwchlan in Pennsylvania. His last job prior to accepting the Fort Mill Town Manager position was in the private sector as Chief Executive Officer of ARRO Consulting, Inc.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, a Masters in Public Administration from Villanova University and a Master of Business Administration from West Chester University.
“We are pleased to welcome Cary Vargo to Fort Mill,” said Fort Mill Mayor Guynn Savage. “The Town Council conducted a lengthy and thorough search to find the best candidate to complement and lead our Town staff and to implement the vision and policies of Council. Cary’s strength is in his leadership and drive. We look forward to working with him to preserve the unique character of our community and to manage the challenges of growth.”
