Utility Billing and Customer Service Now Located at New Town Hall
The Town of Fort Mill is excited to welcome the public for all customer service needs at our new Town Hall at 205 N. White St. beginning Jan. 12, 2026.
Our Planning, Development Services and Customer Service and Utility Billing departments are now located at the new Town Hall building, and our Annex at 200 Tom Hall St. is now closed. Starting Jan. 12, 2026, the public can visit the new Town Hall building for the following:
- Water & Sewer Utility Payments
- Business Licenses
- Building and Zoning Permits
- Court Payments
- Parks & Recreation Registration and Payments
In addition to paying in person, customers can also pay their utility bills online, by mail, by phone, through bank draft or by using our drop box at Town Hall. For full details, see below.
To access the new Customer Service area, customers can park in the lot off McCammon St. Find the double doors located in between the Town seal and Police Department signs, enter the lobby and take your first right down the hallway. The new Customer Service center will be on your left.
Customers can drop their payments in the drop box inside the new Town Hall. Payments dropped off after 8:30 a.m. each day will be credited for the next business day. The drop box is located along the right-hand side wall in between the first and second set of double doors accessible from the parking lot. Just a reminder, the old drop box at the Annex building is now closed.

Setting Up New Service
New Service
To set up new residential water, sewer, and/or garbage service, please use our NEW Residential Utility Service Application by clicking on the link on the left side of this page. Must be requested during business hours (Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. excluding holidays). Please allow up to 48 business hours for service to be activated. For any questions, please call the Fort Mill Business Office at (803) 547-2034.
Activation Fee: $50.00
Deposit: $100.00 for Utility Accounts OR $50 for Sanitation Only Accounts
To set up new business water, sewer and/or garbage service, please use our NEW Business Utility Service Application by clicking on the link on the left side of this page.
Explanation of Fees
A deposit (determined by services provided) and activation fee ($50.00) will be required of the applicant upon the submittal of this service agreement. The applicant will receive an email with further information on how to pay those fees. The deposit will be refunded upon proper termination of services, assuming that all bills have been paid.
Transferring an Existing Service
If you currently are a Town of Fort Mill water, sewer, and/or garbage customer and need to transfer your existing service account to another location within our service area, please contact the Business Office at (803) 547-2034.
Setting Up Bank Draft
To set up your account for automatic bank draft, please use our NEW Automatic Bank Draft Authorization Form by clicking on the link on the left side of this page.
Stopping Your Service
If you are moving and need to disconnect or stop your existing service, please use our NEW Service Termination Form by clicking on the link on the left side of this page.
Ways to Pay Your Utility Bill
Looking for an easy way to pay your Town utility bill? The Town of Fort Mill has several options that can make paying more convenient!
A new and simple option is the Town’s customer payment portal. The My Gov Hub portal is accessible from the "Online Bill Pay" tab found in the menu at the left of this page or under the "How Do I" tab at the top of the Town’s website: www.fortmillsc.gov. Please click here for instructions on how to use the new portal.
In addition to high processing speeds, the portal offers a variety of features for customers, including the ability to set up a profile and access billing history. Customers can also set up recurring payments, pay for multiple properties and print statements, among other features.
There are also several other ways you can pay your utility bill:
1) By Mail- Always enclose the top portion of your bill with your check or money order. Payment must be received at Town Hall (205 N. White St.) by the 16th of each month.
2) In Person- Bring your bill and payment with you to Town Hall (205 N. White St.).
3) By Phone- Call (803) 752-3021 and choose Option 2. You will need your Utility Account number. You can pay by credit card, but please remember there is a 3% fee.
4) Night Drop-off-Drop your payment in our drop box at Town Hall (205 N. White St.).
5) Bank Draft- Complete the information on your bill, attach a voided check and return to the Business Office at Town Hall (205 N. White St.).
Remember, in order to avoid late fees, utility bills must be received by the Town on or before the 16th of each month.

Sanitation Services Provided
The Town of Fort Mill is proud to offer a wide variety of sanitation services to its residents to enhance the quality of life in Fort Mill. Included in these services is household garbage collection in a 95-gallon roll cart once per week, recycling services collected in a 95-gallon roll cart every two weeks, curbside collection of household items such as furniture or appliances once per week, and curbside collection of yard debris, including leaf collection, on a weekly basis.
For sanitation customers who require additional carts, please contact the Fort Mill Public Works department to learn about additional fees. For more information about available services, visit our Public Works page.

Our service rates and fees for water, sewer, and garbage services are set by Town Council during their annual budgeting process.
