Girls Instructional Volleyball is offered only in the Spring for girls ages 9 to 11 and 12 to 14. Age is determined by how old the child is on September 1st of 2020. This is an instructional program designed to teach the basics and fundamental skills of volleyball. This is not a league. Towards the end of the season, there may be game-like situational drills that the instructors run, but this is designed as an instructional program.
Team instruction will be held twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) and will be held at the Fort Mill Community Center (formerly known as the Banks St. Gym) or in the rare occurrence of the YMCA at the Complex.
For the 9 to 11 group there will be two-time meetings; there will be a 6 p.m. group and a 7 p.m. group. These will be a first come first serve basis for sign-ups and you will always meet at the time you sign up for during the season. The 12 to 14 group will have one meeting time and that will start at 8 p.m.
