Historic Review Board

About

The Historic Review Board (HRB) has the duty and responsibility of reviewing and approving proposed alterations to exteriors of buildings, new construction, and demolition of any property within the Town’s historic district, any property within the zoning authority of the Town of Fort Mill which has been accepted to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as designated by the US Department of Interior, and buildings or groups of buildings within the zoning authority of the Town of Fort Mill which have been designated a local historic landmark by the Fort Mill Town Council upon the recommendation of the HRB. Additionally, the Town of Fort Mill HRB is the reviewing body for local façade improvement grants and the local historic tax credit program known as the Bailey Bill.
