Veterans Day Celebration

What an incredible morning we had on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at the Town of Fort Mill's Veterans Day Celebration at Veterans Memorial! We are filled with gratitude and pride for everyone who helped make this event such a meaningful tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country.

A heartfelt thank you to our Town Council, staff, volunteers, veterans, community partners and everyone who joined us. You made this celebration a true success — one that honored our heroes in the way they deserve.

The event featured the Presentation and Retirement of Colors by the Nation Ford High School Marine Corps JROTC, a  Rifle Volley performed by Fort Mill American Legion Post 43, a performance of The Star-Spangled Banner by Fort Mill Police Department Telecommunicator Christy B. Cooper,  a rendition of My Country ‘Tis of Thee by The Backwater Boys, and our guest speaker Allan Miller, Managing Partner of OTS Media and a U.S. Army Veteran. There were also remarks from Mayor Guynn Savage, Fort Mill Town Council members and the 2025 South Carolina Strawberry Queens.

Events like this remind us why Fort Mill is such a special place to live. When our community comes together to celebrate, reflect, and give thanks, it truly shows the spirit and heart of Fort Mill.
